Kol Nidrei Appeal 5778

Since its inception over 38 years ago, the Young Israel of Stamford has carried on a wonderful tradition of offering seats for the high holidays, to members and non-members alike, at no charge. We are proud once again to open our doors to the community, extended family, and anyone else who would like to join us in prayer during this most special and meaningful times of year.

We will soon stand together in shul, praying for atonement, for forgiveness, and for the opportunity to remake and renew ourselves before G-d. Before we get there, I urge you to take the opportunity to rebuild and remake our shul by generously participating in this year’s Kol Nidrei appeal.

Our hopes for our shul and our community, our vision of growth and expansion, depend on you and your response to our appeal. The Kol Nidrei appeal is the foundation for all we do, from minyan to education to upgrading our facilities. Help us remake and renew our shul by increasing your Kol Nidrei pledge.

The Aseret Yimei Teshuva are a time for introspection, a time to make amends, and a time to take action. The shul’s Kol Nidre appeal accounts for nearly one-third of our operating budget, and our needs are many. We suggest that every family contribute $650 or more, in accordance with your financial capabilities. But no matter the amount, every dollar will allow us to continue to enhance our shul, fund our educational, social, and youth programming, and ensure our long-term sustainability so we can continue to be a focal point for Jewish life in the greater Stamford area.

Please take a moment and reply now with your generous Kol Nidre pledge below.

Thank you very much for your continued support of the Young Israel. On behalf of the YIS Board of Directors, I wish you and your family a year of health, prosperity and fulfillment.

G’mar Chatima Tova,
Greg Teitel, President
